Subscription Box
Why should you have to have a subscription form on your blog and why you should be building a list?
This video will explain how and why.
First of all, you can use what is called an ”ethical” bribe in which you encourage people to give you their name and email
address in exchange for a gift of some kind which, can be an e-book, e-course or even audio or video series. Giving something away will usually encourage people to subscribe to your mailing list.
In terms of adding the subscription box to your site, you have a couple of options. You can use Aweber which not only enables you to collect names and email addressess and send out email broadcasts, it is also a sequential autoresponder enabling you to send out a sequence of emails to your subscribers automatically. Once you set up your account in Aweber, they give you the HTML code which, you can copy and paste into your blog.
You can also use Feedburner.com which is a feed management service where you can ”burn-a-feed.”
Feedburner is a free subscription service that also enables you to add subscribers via their email form and, manage your subscribers as well as your RSS feed through their software..
Whether you decide to go free or pay a fee for your subscription service, you must have one and continue to build a relationship with your subscribers by giving them information that is useful to them so that in the event that you ever sell your own products, you build their trust in you.
